I got called in to work this afternoon - I'll be at 265 N 200 E in St George, getting off at 5 pm...I'll call you then and get your gear in my pickup and take it to practice.

Tibby, you ROCK. I will be there as soon as I can, but there will be new people tonight and I wanted gear to be there. Treat the noobs good.

I will probably be really late. The Cub Scout Space Derby is tonight and I am in charge of the track. Don't wait for me to get started.

I don't believe it; Once again, something has come up on Wednesday that can't seem to happen any other day of the week. I will try to make it at some point during practice.

It sounds like you are behind on your sacrifices to the gods that govern bad-stuff-happening-on-Wednesdays. Time to burn a goat.

I haven't seen him in a while. I'm pretty sure Isk burned him right after the accident to ensure a speedy recovery.

Ahhhh, Phonecian child sacrifice to Ba'al via Tophet. How mortifyingly disgusting. Having two little ones of my own, I think I'd have to find a new God if He required me to burn one of them. I don't think the beating of drums could drown out my conscience. Abraham was a special guy.

On the "burning a goat" note, there I was at Camp Dearborn back in the summer of love (1997 for those of you too young to remember) and my extended family and I were all sitting around our camp fire having a good ol' time listening to my dad play his guitar. A few fire rings down the way, a bunch of Arabs (if you knew Dearborn, MI, you would understand) started gathering around and were piling the wood pretty high. My dad, being a Detroit Fire Fighter, thought that this was going to be amusing; his prescience was apropos.

As the wood piled high and the gasoline soaked in (almost literally as large as the WOR pallet pile), the people began to form a ring around the fire. They began to sway and chant and act "quite cultish" as my high school Latin teacher used to say. Someone struck a match and a fireball shot 50 feet into the sky. They all whooped and hollered and danced around the fire all the quicker. Someone in our group remarked, "Wow, all they need now is a goat." Right on cue we heard, "Baaaaaaaa!" "Baaaaaaa!" and a man led a goat on a rope out of the darkness and towards the fire. Two men grabbed the shrieking creature and a third pulled out a knife and lifted it on high. With a mighty shout to his god he plunged the blade into the heart of the goat, sprinkled blood all around, and tossed the still bleating animal into the flames.

We called 911. Three people went to jail and the rest were kicked out of the park.

I have yet to witness an animal sacrifice in person. Tibby gets around.

We'll miss ya. Thanks for the heads up and welcome to the boards. After you left we discussed having a Deshi practice at 6pm. We're starting next week, so plan to come at six once you finish your hunter safety stuff. I will also have Deshi tabards done by then and we'll need to get you over to fit your new Deshi skirt.

Isk I would love to come to the deshi practice at six on wednesday but my hunters saftey classes start at six o clock and end at 8 o clock and it starts this wednesday and ends the 21st of this month sorry for the inconvinence. I will be able to come after that so we can get my skirt made $3 right? and i need to make some new garb so the skirt will help and then i'm going to make like a underarmor tanktop wtih a cut v in the middle what do you think i should do?

To translate for you Marcus, (Isk's wording messed with my brain a bit too) When you're done doing hunter's safety every week, practices will be starting for you at 6 rather than 7, if it is okay.

What Tona said. As far as garb goes, if you have time sooner, great. If not, we'll work it out. The underarmor tank should work fine under your Deshi and realm tabards, just have some compression shorts to go under your skirt. Your homework: study the BoW so you can go for your realm tabard in June.

Ok i have printed out the book of war and I will be studying the BoW so i can go for my realm tabard. Oh and where did you post the cups on here?

Koto and I might be a little late to practice tonight. We have to play with the band at the school's graduation from a scheduled 4:30-6:30. It could go longer or shorter, we shouldn't be to practice any later than 8 though.

when i come, i'll hopefully be bringing $10 for my tabard.

As a heads up, I will be going on vacation from Wednesday night, July 28th (may be at practice, may not) - through Saturday, August 7th.

So, I won't be here for the tabard trial and possibly one other practice.

I'll make sure to hand over the secretarial stuff for attendance and fliers, etc.

***Edit*** My wife's birthday is next week, so i'll be out for 3 weeks total. I will not be practicing w/ Anduril, so I may be rusty upon my return :-P

I'll be gone for three weeks. I'm leaving for my dad's house tomorrow, and I won't be back until the 6th of August. I'll be fighting with Anduril while I'm over there, so I shouldn't get too badly out of practice.

Hey question here, according to my records I have only missed two practices not four, I have been late for a few and mabe that is a factor here, but reaaly I have only missed two practices this year.
Please rectify the records, I missed one in Feb and then last week.

So, the highest number you can have for recent practices is 13. I believe that no one will have thirteen on Wednesday afternoon, because it's Wednesday again and the new practice hasn't been recorded yet.

Looking at the records, you have 8 right now. You are recorded as missing the first two in February and last week. Every other practice in 2011 has you there. You are down the fourth week for the 29th of December, when practice was cancelled. You (and maybe Patchiz and Link) and I were the only ones to show at the field. We then went over to Tibby's to grab your shield core, but didn't really have a practice that night. If it mattered for tabard purposes, I'd be inclined to give you credit for that night, but there is currently no practice record for that evening.

So, let's clarify which of those two weeks at the beginning of February you attended and we can get that record corrected.

I will not be making it tonight. If my gear is needed, I can make arrangements for someone to get it this afternoon. I need to visit with a medical appeals board tomorrow in SLC and we'll be going up tonight so that we can be there on time. I am very sorry to miss practice with you guys. I put up flyers at the St. George and Washington rec centers so maybe there will be more people as well.

I will not be at practice, Wed March 30th because my wife and I are going to Washington DC for my final military medical board hearing. This will mean the difference between a cash settlement or being put on the retired list permanently.
