My First Tabard

As discussed with Tona,Scottsman, Ogre, Link, Akyrra on field and playfully mentioned here on the board (Topic BoW 1.5.5)Patchiz of Clew sees and WANTS the status of being the first female in An Tir Dearg to be a Initiate Realm Tabard holder. Yes spoke of my personna in third person,(mormonese habit)lol. I checked the board for status and found my invisiblity is perfect;). We all are well aware of my flexibility of realm activity,, I have chosen to move forward now that the Scottsman has fulfilled his goal! Congrats Scottsman! Party at our house;)anyway as I afore mentioned the personal passion of achieving senior tabbard is available to all after first overcoming the Co-Deshi status and achieving Initiate Realm Tabard.(checked the BoW and the An Tir Dearg Charter of Rules 13.1). Wrestled me dimons an has come to see I like winning. The next tabbard trials are in February and being said, gentlemen, I'm preparing .......oh baby yeah....and my Sensei says this is possible for me.

More than possible. This is great news and I'll be looking forward to watching this trial. We'll be happy to have you on the field as a tabard holder, Patchiz.

Glad you're motivated to accomplish this task.

You're good on garb, good on weapons, and are most likely near - and will be at - attendance requirements come first Wednesday in February.

You'll need to pass the written Book of War test (18 out of 20), pass the armor and weapons checking test, and pass the combat tests. I don't doubt that you'll be able to do it, but study and practice up. They're not a cake walk.

yeah, that's sad.

I'm debating on how we should best cover such an issue, if its deemed to be one. I think the purpose of the booking website is mostly to embarrass suspected criminals rather than to truly and emotionlessly inform the community about possible dangers. I'm not a fan of it at all, but it serves a useful purpose apart from what I believe is its superego driven intent.

That said, thank you for not naming names. I don't want to have a permanent record of it on our website since that's not what we're for. Perhaps a better course of action would either be through PM to myself or Isk or just bring it up in person at practice.

My biggest reason for this is, again, because I don't want to embarrass people especially when they're innocent until proven guilty. Secondly, if a person was deemed somehow dangerous or a threat to our players, I would want to have all our ducks in a row privately so we could act as a Council at the appropriate time to do whatever it is that we decided.

I appreciate your concern and your situational awareness. Thank you.

Well said, Tibby. I support what you stated on all counts. Thanks for being aware of what's going on, Patchiz.

An Tir Dearg Council is and was always fair and patient with myself, always acting with honor. Stubbling upon information and sharing descretely is what I wll attend to as far as relaying information is concentrated. Thank you Tibs and Thank you Isk.
Nicety aside I would like to add more about the newbies on the field of recent. They are genuinely showing skill and desire to learn.

The Scottsman agreed in relevence with a question of BoW
General Weapon Checking Conventions 1.3.3 ; swords with a semicircular tip, with a minimum 1.5 inch radius are exempt from this rule.
The following picture depicts a view from above. My interpretation is the tip would be a side view. Please clarify.

Semicircular refers to "over the top".

If the sword is 3" across the flats, and semi circular over the top, then it automatically passes template because it cannot fit through the template in any appreciable manner and is safe because it has no corners.
